FAQs

A Baker's Dozen of Answers

Since you asked...or maybe you didn't...

1. What the french toast is immersive marketing?

Dictionary.com reads:

Immersive: Pertaining to immersing or plunging into something

(Don't the authors know that you can't use a variation of the word IN the definition?!)

Our Definition:

Immersive Marketing: Beyond-the-surface, socially powered engagements that envelope and involve consumers at every level and throughout the campaign process. Brand campaigns in this category are driven from the consumer's perspective and work to build and sustain customer relationships pre-, during, and post-sale. Consider these campaigns a collaboration between key influencers and social networks, both online and offline, that develop long-term brand advocates.

2. How long has the agency been around?

Premise Immersive Marketing was founded in 1999. Maybe that's why we like to party so much...(and, of course, by "party" we mean "work hard.")

3. How many people work at Premise?

Our team size ranges from seven to 500+, depending on the project. We call it our front-line flexibility. Premise also has enough friends in high (and low) places to simultaneously infiltrate all 50 states and abroad for immersive field campaigns.

4. Can Premise do a marketing campaign for my company in San Diego? Milwaukee? How 'bout Dubai?

Our physical location maybe in Downtown San Diego but we have extensive experience managing marketing campaigns locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. Our clients are located in cities and countries around the globe.

5. What sorts of brands do you work with?

Premise's clients are start-ups launching to the world and established brands looking for a new voice. They are multimedia platforms and traditional consumer goods. They are major celebrity-driven companies and nonprofit, volunteer-based networks.

If your brand is fresh, youthful and energetic and looking to positively connect with youth, we want to work with you.

6. What target audiences do you work with?

From newly born babies to the adults that raise them, Premise interacts daily with a wide range of consumers varying in age, location, ethnic group, gender, culture and subculture.

7. What if my company already works with other creative or marketing-related agencies (e.g. graphic design, public relations, or research firms)?

The Premise team plays well with others. We're good at large-scale collaborative conference calls. We can also oversee other marketing organizations, freelancers and internal company departments to ensure cohesive brand presence and messaging.

However, if you would like to simply your creative/marketing solutions, Premise is a full-service marketing shop. Learn more about our services here.

8. Why are Captain Crunch's eyebrows on his hat?

We will now pause to allow you time to google an image of Captain Crunch and confirm we didn't just make that up.

We actually don't know why some of his facial hair appears to be floating on the brim of his snazzy captain's hat. If you have the answer, please contact us or live chat with a Premise team member. We are dying to know!

9. What is the observers network?

Over the past decade, Premise has recruited millions of tweens, teens and young adults to help our clients figure out what they want and need. This on-hand community of global influencers can provide insights on everything from campaign slogans to crazy experimental event ideas. And they're not afraid to tell you if something "sucks" either.

Want to learn more? We have a whole FAQs page just for the observers network here.

10. What sort of research can Premise do?

Yes. Oh wait, that wasn't a yes/no question...

From the traditional focus group format to online video-enabled chats to instant feedback from our observers network to product test marketing, the answer is yes, we can develop, direct, gather and report the research data you need.

11. Where do I get some of those tasty meals that Premise employees always blog about eating for lunch?

Glad you asked. The agency's favorite eateries include Grant's Marketplace, Humberto's Taco Shop, Neighborhood, and Burger Lounge.

And the microwave seems to always be beeping with hot-and-ready, previously frozen delights, too. (Lean Cuisine is the team favorite).

12. What happened to question 12?

We thought you'd know.

13. Do you have more info you can send me?

Do you?

We know it's annoying when people answer a question with a question, but we want to hear more about your company and your goals, so contact us. Once we have an idea of who you are, we are happy to customize a presentation for you that discusses the capabilities we have that best align with your needs.
