Right Here, Right Now
Gen Y wants what they want, when, where, and how they want it! Sounds bratty, privileged and entitled doesn't it? Well it is! MY generation was born into a culture where we can have anything we want, when we want it. This is fueled by parents and society at large. We have been able to customize anything to our liking and we never had to wait too long for it. We treat everything in our life with this attitude.Apr 07, 2010
One Love
Gen Y celebrates diversity. One in three Gen Y'ers are members of a minority group. On issues of interracial dating, religion and homosexuality, we are more liberal than previous generations. In fact, we are the most likely of any generation to self-identify as liberals. Our size, ethnic background, and opinions on diversity are greater and more open than previous generations in the United States. 91% of us believe in interracial dating.Apr 05, 2010

Technology
Technology is A Fundamental Part of Gen Y's Existence. Gen Y was born wired. It's embedded in our psychology, so much so that it's our third hand and second brain. We are connected through words, voices and images.Mar 23, 2010
Change The World
Gen Y is the most civic-minded generation to date. We have this 'can-do' spirit and attach ourselves to large cultural movements because we believe that our generation can make a difference in the world.Mar 17, 2010
We Are Family
When you ask Gen Y who are the most important people in our lives it's not uncommon to hear family and friends in the same sentence. With broken homes and dysfunctional family units, my generation turns to our friends for advice, support and personal therapy.Mar 09, 2010
Got To Be Real
Gen Y wants brands to be themselves - really reveal who they are at the core - and stick to that. We don't want brands to over promise on something they can never deliver. We can smell deceit and dishonesty immediately. So as we say - 'it's best to keep it real'.Feb 26, 2010
Rockin’ In The Free World
When you give someone something for free, it's hard to get them to ever pay for it again. This is especially true among the Gen Y consumer. Not only do we expect that product/service to be free but we will research ways to get additional product/services for free.Feb 19, 2010

Gen Y has bought into and lives the motto 'all for one, one for all'. We find that we can get more done through community efforts rather than doing it ourselves. We see the power in numbers and have grown up with the social resources that service out need for peer unity: Facebook, MySpace and YouTube to state the obvious ones for you.

For Generation Y, the glass if half full. Gen Y believes that life is here for the taking. The most pampered generation, they believe the world revolves around them. They are empowered to move around or influence systems that aren't meeting their needs.
