Obamarketing

President Obama had to figure out how to market himself to Gen Y, and figure it out he did. While many people hold up their noses and turn their backs on political marketing because it can be condescending, nasty and uninspired, Obama and his campaign team understood (and still understand) how to engage and motivate my generation. One Love

Gen Y celebrates diversity. One in three Gen Y'ers are members of a minority group. On issues of interracial dating, religion and homosexuality, we are more liberal than previous generations. In fact, we are the most likely of any generation to self-identify as liberals. Our size, ethnic background, and opinions on diversity are greater and more open than previous generations in the United States. 91% of us believe in interracial dating.

Axed Obama Logos

You may say that waiting until after Obama's historical inauguration to examine some of the campaign logo options is 'a day late a dollar short'. I say nay! Whether or not you care to acknowledge it, the 2008 Obama campaign was far and away the most successful marketing campaign in history.
